Built for training: new fitness fuel menu launches at SCRUM Kitchen

SCRUM Kitchen, in conjunction with Top to Toe Fitness at the Marine Travel Ground, are proud to introduce Built for training – a brand-new menu designed to support performance, recovery, and everyday training Built for training.

Created with people who train in mind, this menu focuses on simple, nourishing ingredients that work as hard as you do. Whether you are finishing a tough session, squeezing fitness into a busy day, or just making smarter food choices, Built for training offers fuel you can rely on before and after exercise.

Food that supports how you train

The menu has been carefully put together to balance energy, protein, and healthy fats, helping you feel fuelled long after your workout ends.

Overnight oats (£4) provide slow-release energy and are ideal before training or as an easy post-session refuel. Made with oat milk, Greek yoghurt, chia, and flax seeds, they can be topped with everything from dark berry compote for an antioxidant boost to banana with peanut butter or honey for classic training fuel. Vegan options are also available.

For those needing something more substantial, The “Smashed it” menu (£8) delivers proper post-workout recovery. Fresh smashed avocado on Gilda sourdough toast forms the base, with a choice of toppings including poached egg, smoked salmon, bacon, or vibrant plant-based options such as tomato, lime and coriander salsa. Extra toppings are available for those wanting to build their plate around their training needs.

A partnership built around wellbeing

This new menu reflects the shared ethos of SCRUM Kitchen and Top to Toe Fitness: supporting long-term wellbeing, not quick fixes. It is food designed for training days, rest days, and everything in between.

The Built for training menu is served all week, excluding Men’s 1st XV home matchdays, making it easy to refuel around your routine.

This launch is just the beginning. With Top to Toe Fitness opening at the Marine Travel Ground, taster session announcements are coming soon. Keep an eye on club channels and SCRUM Kitchen updates for your chance to experience the training environment and the fuel that supports it.
