Exciting news
from Canterbury Rugby Club Catering

For the past 25 years, Ted Phillips, first through Harriet’s Catering and more recently via Saucy Flo’s, has been the culinary heart of Canterbury Rugby Club. On May 31st, 2025, Ted will officially be hanging up his boots, marking the end of a legendary era in our kitchen.

But don’t worry, we’re cooking up something new!

Following a full kitchen refurbishment, we’re thrilled to announce the grand
re-opening of the clubhouse catering on

Monday, June 23rd, under a brand-new name – Scrum Kitchen!

You can expect:

  • Many of the familiar friendly faces
  • Many of the favourite dishes you know and love
  • Plus, exciting new additions – including a special new item, The Big Ted, in honour of the man himself

We’ll reopen with the same hours: 8:00am – 12:30pm, but plans are already simmering for extended hours, evening service, and monthly pop-up events.
